NEW CHALLENGE AHEAD
Birtley Town Under 18s have left the Russelll Foster league and joined the Durham FA County league.
At the Durham AGM it was decided that there would be two leagues North and South and that there would be cup games across both leagues this will amount to at least 22 very competitive games.
It is hoped that this move will further improve the standard of the players to give them a chance of moving into the Northern League team at some point.
Birtley would welcome players present, new and old to build a team/squad to compete in this league.
The team has also been entered in the FA Youth cup where all home games will be played on the main surface at Birtley.
